Upendrah -The younger brother of Indra. In His Incarnation as Vaamana, He was born to Aditi, who was the mother of Indra, and hence, the Lord is known as the Younger brother of Indra. Upendra means, One who is superior to Indra, the king of gods. Such an explanation we find in the Harivamsa para (76-47) Indra, the king of the sense-organs, is the mind and the Consciousness, which is the Self, is the one factor that dynamises the mind. Since life is that which controls even the mind, certainly it is superior to the mind and this self is the Maha Vishnu. The Shila has beautiful markings of Upendra. The Shila is slightly elevated from the centre representing that Upendra is elevated more than Indra. The Upendra Shila brings enormous attraction and Charisma in the life of the devotee. The worshipper increases his wit and intelligence and can take very good decisions in his life. Lord Upendra is a very rare Shila and if possible every devotee should try to have one Upendra Shila in his Altar. The devotee associated with constructions business, real estate is immensely benefitted by the presence of this Shila. The Shila is extremely smooth, perfectly shaped, lustrous, small sized, cold to touch, has flawless impressions.
