Upendra Shaligram Shila

A Shaligrama which has the marks of a Gada, Padma, Shanka, Chakra – arranged in a particular order is worshiped as Upendra Shaligram. The various orders and names are for the twenty-four permutations. Lord Vishnu is also known as Upendra. The Shaligrams do not require these preliminary rites of Purification and Prana Prathishta, as the Shaligrams naturally contain the Vibhuti of Godhead present in them. However, if the ideal concept of Programming can be performed by a skilled professional, then the Shaligrams will energize and faster results.
